I can not tell because i don't have the 2860 but with 2760 (same dsl chipset) the vectoring has make some difference for some users ... but i think UK is giving only the STD for standard lines once vectoring is not available yet
Once is the same firmware (3.7.4.3) just load the *all* vector file and see if will make difference in the speed
Is similar to oldest 2850 where if we change modem code we was needing to load all firmware with the all* file to keep current settings
I don't think any harm will be in the unit, the difference is only to the dsl driver ... once you load the all* file, you should understand if will make any better difference in the line from the snr & the errors at the menu on line physical connection
If you have issues just load back the UK one with the all* file extension

That modem firmware does not seem to be in 3.7.4.3
There are other issues with the existing vfdl firmware. I have a case open about it. VDSL status reports zero errors whilst the OR modem does report some. Also my link is currently interleaved which the 2860 does correctly report, but then depth is reported as zero which means that interleave is off. Depth when interleave is on cannot be zero.

As I and another user tribz have told you, we ARE both already running the latest firmware, 3.7.4.3 and if you read my previous email I stated that either the vectoring firmware is not included or if it is, it makes no difference.
