Network Firewalls
ExpiredWhat is a network firewall?
Network firewalls help to stop or mitigate unauthorised access to the LANs (Local Area Networks). They usually monitor traffic originating from the internet and LAN. DrayTek network firewall software can also monitor traffic between local subnets.
What are the types of network firewalls?
There are different types of network firewalls that can be used on the computer network. Based on their structure there are three types of network firewalls: hardware, software, or both.
According to the mechanisms used by network security firewall, we can distinguish packet filter firewalls, dynamic packet filtering aka Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), and proxy server firewalls.
How to set up a network firewall?
DrayTek network firewall security can be enabled with a matter of a few clicks. Each DrayTek router comes with locally accessible web interface that allows adding a new firewall profile, and enabling additional features such as DoS Defence, Web Content Filtering, or Spoof Defence.
