Not much point as I'm no longer using the 2960. Suppose I should email them telling them to close the ticket though.

Definitely chase them; I know they don't intentionally ignore (or hide from) emails but I suppose like anyone things can get missed so do chase, or escalate.admin wrote:

Sorry to hear that... Considering the effort yo put in in, you might try again with new firmware one day, but I can understand your reluctance.

By way of an update for everyone:
Firmware: 1.0.6.2
Issues seeming to be resolved:
* Complete lockup of router
* Windows NLB
Outstanding/ new issues
* VPN drops (although showing as up are still regularly dropping - they now always reestablish though)
* VPN throughput still not as expected
* Slowdown - the internet speed (specifically download speed seems to drop after uptimes of a day or more)
* SSL VPN RDP app gives error in both IE and Chrome.
* MOTP - perhaps this may be a configuration issue, however these settings don't seem to have any effect.
* Router reboot itself after approx 4 days uptime.

Have yet again had to pull this router while waiting for further resolution. Very disappointing Draytek.
Router is now repeatedly dropping the WAN connection!
