Firmware 3.8.9.6 TLS issues on 2860n+ was created by rusbrc
Has anyone else upgraded to 3.8.9.6 for the 2860? I tried but had trouble connecting to https sites - it would get stuck on the TLS handshake bit. Installing 3.8.9.5 fixed the problem. Didn't have too much of a chance to troubleshooting as there was demand for the internet back in the flat.
Before I go the .rst route, I wanted to confirm if it's just me (rather a lot of re-config to do). This is with Zen internet.

Well I have a 2860 and am now a Zen Internet user, so I can have a go at reproducing your problem. Is it a particular web site?
(I'm currently running 3.8.9.5, having failed to notice the appearance of 3.8.9.6 )

Just random ones - https://www.doorstore.co.uk and https://www.building-supplies-online.co.uk for example, but https://www.google.com worked. Perhaps there are issues surrounding internal doors?
I did try 3.8.9.6 again and had the same results, back to 3.8.9.5 again resolved it.

I upgraded my 2860n and tried your web sites - and they load OK...
...I'll keep an eye out for any similar issues.

Thanks for checking.
This time I'll see if I can knock up something to extract the config from the telnet interface, and restore it after a reset - at least there'll be validation on the restore. I current backup (I suspect) is just a dump of memory.

Don't forget that many of the parameters can be dumped as plain text files (firewall rules, objects, dial-in users etc).
