Didn't save the output, too late now
Switched back to the HH5; will leave it running for a week to see if the speed recovers back to my usual 79999.

Still stuck at 74000 according to the HH5.
A BT (OpenReach) speed test confirmed that my IP profile has been set to 71.55.
So using the Vigor 130 for just 3 days had an appreciable impact on my line. Odd.
Code:
1. Product Name: HomeHub5
2. Serial number: +076284+1418005732
3. Firmware version: v0.07.05.0A13-BT (Type B) Last updated 9/12/2015
4. Board version: 01
5. VDSL uptime: 1 days, 10:11:58
6. Data Rate: 19999 / 74000
7. Maximum Data Rate: 25627 / 92329
8. Noise Margin: 12.6 / 10.8
9. Line Attenuation: 13.8 / 14.2
10. Signal Attenuation: 0.0 / 0.0
11. Data sent/received: 168.2 MB / 4.0 GB
12. Broadband username: bthomehub@btbroadband.com
A BT (OpenReach) speed test confirmed that my IP profile has been set to 71.55.
Code:
Download speed achieved during the test was - 69.56 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-71.55 Mbps.
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 71.55 Mbps
So using the Vigor 130 for just 3 days had an appreciable impact on my line. Odd.

Such a shame really. I so wanted this to work properly. Might have to dust off my old HG612 just so I can get rid of the HH5!

The answer is right there in front of you .
Your line profile is 71.55Mbps , to get a speedtest result of 69.56Mbps is amazingly good , it is absolutely impossible to get anything higher, your speed can't be greater than the IP profile.
Your line IP profile may be lower than before because of interleaving or .INP , that is why we need to see a full set of stats.
Repeatedly breaking the connection will only result in your synch dropping further as the DSLAM will be reset by DLM.

My line has been syncing at 79999 Kbps for over 4 years. Just using the Vigor 130 for 2-3 days brought it down to 74000. DLM lowered my IP profile to improve my line's "stability".
I'm on Fastpath. Only 100 meters or so from the cab. Line is noise free and capable of syncing at the full speed.
I wasn't the one doing it, the 130 was. The line reset 8 or 9 times in the (roughly) 3 days that it was connected which caused DLM to kick in. The modem was plugged in, and left undisturbed.

Have you flashed the latest firmware?
The early firmware had issues with disconnections like that and caused the DLM to react.
