I replaced my BT HomeHub 5B with a Vigor 130 + EdgeRouter PoE setup. On install day...

Bit baffled. Why is it now syncing at a much lower speed? Thanks in advance!

The SNR value is pretty much the same so it's probably something outside - potentially if there's more people nearby getting connected to FTTC, that slows things down due to the crosstalk

It's too much of a coincidence. It has been working stable at the full speed for over 4 years. Could my line have gone into some kind of "learning" mode perhaps?

Weirdly, the HH5 is also now syncing at the lower speed.

My vdsl line has been stable at 34998 download for over a year. On 27th April it dropped to 32397 and has shown no sign of going back up again. At least they put lines on pint glasses....

I have used a 130 but have currently switched back to my 2860, both were stable at 34998.
