I think that you are limited to the Virgin Superhub. I don't believe that they allow any other DOCSIS 3 modem to be connected.
The 2860 would purely be used in router mode and not utilising the inbuilt modem

No . . . . Virgin is primarily cable, but in areas where they don't have cable they offer VDSL or ADSL if they have their kit in the local exchange.
Superfast Fibre Broadband Up To 76Mbit/s + Phone x 1 £60.00
Up to 76Mbit/s broadband
Phone Line - Business Talk Unlimited Extra
Static IP (Free) x 1 £0.00
Voicemail (Free) x 1 £0.00
Call Sign x 1 £0.00
Call Restriction (Free) x 1 £0.00
Call Line Identity (Free) x 1 £0.00
A better deal than BT offer, delivered over the BT network . . . . . bizarre !!
And feedback for the doubters . . . . . .
The router was shipped with username and password configured along with a myriad of other settings for port forwarding and VPN etc.
Plugged in by a member of staff, and a few minutes later we had remote access to the site.
This confirms that the Draytek support document for VDSL configuration for BT Infiniti is equally valid for Virgin VDSL over the BT network.

Without certain key information in this document we would not have managed to pull this off in this way, so thanks very much to whoever produced that support document.

Isnt Virgin cable not VDSL and you need a cable modem or the Virgin Hub in Modem only mode plugged into a certain port?sicon wrote:

Am I sure ? . . . . . . . . . . . .
Well let's look at the evidence . . . . . . .
I started out on theVirgin Business Website.
Then I spoke toVirgin Business sales about four sites.
Then had a discussion with aVirgin Account Manager.
Then signed a set ofVirgin contracts.
Then had a number of calls and emails fromVirgin as the various stages progressed.
We have just received the first set ofVirgin Invoices.
. . . . . and we seem to be making payments toVirgin .
How could I possibly be sure ? !!!
