As you can see the Asus router appears to allow Adrian to have both his ISP's server and the 130 as gateway addresses on his WAN internet connection. I've tried this with the 2860 and 130, changing the IP of the 130 to 192.168.9.1 to avoid clashing with the 2860's VLAN 2, but with the 2860 I can only have either my ISP's gateway (in PPPOE mode) or the 130 as gateway (in static/dynamic IP mode) but not both at the same time. In the latter mode I can access the 130 by typing 192.168.9.1 but I have no internet access even though the line is still SHOWTIME, as it's (presumably?) not receiving my login credentials from the 2860.

Surely if you have a V2860, it accesses and shows the V130 stats in its own WUI anyway

No, this is all it shows:-
This is why the marketing blurb for the 2860 is misleading IMO.

Yes, and it appears that the wording on the UK Draytek site for the 2860 has been changed to make it clear that the above is all you see (I'm pretty sure it wasn't clear before but happy to be corrected if my memory is faulty)...
To my mind that is not "displaying the line stats from the 130" - I was expecting to see a page like the one for the WAN 1 vdsl stats on the 2860, like this:-
