The original request was for modem stats ... error correction etc

I was specifically after error stats for VDSL on a 2860, not ADSL on a 2830. Thanks.

Agree, it is poor. Had hoped later firmware may have improved it since the original posts.

Thanks; the reason I asked specifically is in order that this thread is useful and explicit enough for those who might be able to review and influence...

the command you have (wan vdsl show basic) ... is not command for errors for any model as far i know, but even if it has errors the command its self it says wan info BASIC
the vdsl show or the other 3 i mentioned it has and errors and apart the CRC (cyclic redundancy check) that are appearing at WUI on line status>physical connection ... will also show via telnet & ES errors (errored seconds) ... & also reset time ... IF (not saying it has) has bugs that is an other story
the screen shot is from my 2760 which are the same as the 2860 (2760 is a mini version of the 2860) so all are the same, but as i don't have vdsl all counters are to 0
the above command in my opinion has enough info compare to some other adsl/vdsl modems
you can also try vdsl wan (should give you available option, or vdsl internet, vdsl srv, vdsl optn, vdsl mngt ... i also think for commands is rich
