No wireless setup wizard was created by bogart99
Have a Vigor 2830n plus. Connects fine over ethernet. WIfi is the problem. Pressing the wireless LAN button does nothing. I cannot find a wireless setup wizard or any reference to wireless anywhere.
I get all these
Wizards
Online Status
Physical Connection
Virtual WAN
WAN
LAN
Load-Balance/Route Policy
NAT
Firewall
User Management
Objects Setting
CSM
Bandwidth Management
Applications
VPN and Remote Access
Certificate Management
SSL VPN
USB Application
System Maintenance
Diagnostics
External Devices
But zero mentioning wireless. Am I missing the obvious?
Thanks

Hi Bogart99,
Something's definitely not right there.
Possibly the browser you're using is not displaying all of the available options, I have seen this on a 'Safari' browser under MacOS before, so maybe try another browser to rule that out.
The other obvious thing to check is, do you have the latest firmware running on your router?
See firmware here:
https://fw.draytek.com.tw/Vigor2830/
or
https://fw.draytek.com.tw/Vigor2830n-v2/
(Whichever is the most relevant to your model/version. )
Hope that helps in some way...

That's a pretty old model. May I ask if you've acquired it from eBay or the like? If so, is it possible that it's been "modified"?

Hi guys
Had it kicking about for a few years, previously only used ethernet. Have checked f/w and seems to be latest 3.3.3.3_sb_232201 what is confusing is the sb in the middle should be db as is a plus model. Anyway that is an aside as even if it thought itself to be only a single channel unit should still show wireless option, well I would have thought so. Is behaving as if only a 2830 and not an "n" version, never mind an "n plus". Somewhat lost where to turn.

FW 3.3.3.3 can’t be right, as that would be older than any of the ones listed in the two links I posted above.
There are “sb” & “db” FWs there also.
I would at least factory-reset the unit and then try some of the more recent FWs, to see if one of them resolves the problem.
I agree it’s an old unit but, it should still work, unless certain hardware has failed internally and the GUI is populated by that internal hardware being present; or not?

Me and my typing f/w is 3.8.8.3_sb_232201
Also have tried a different browser and a factory reset still the same.
