AP802 Upgrade failure (to 1.4.3) was created by hornbyp
My AP802 started telling me (via SYSLOG) that it wasn't running the latest firmware (it was on 1.4.2, which at the time writing, was the latest version at
draytek.co.uk
).
However, I could see version 1.4.3 on the
'international site'
and used the AP802's gui to download it.
I started the firmware upgrade and some time after the warning to ("keep the power connected etc "), the AP802 crashed (huge register dump to SYSLOG, followed by reboot). I tried again and got the same result
Since it clearly wasn't some 'resource depletion' or other "attention seeking " that is cleared by a reboot - I tried re-installing 1.4.2, which succeeded (though it was at pains to point out that I'd achieved nothing  ).
I now tried 1.4.3 for the 3rd time and it succeeded.
All very weird
I'm not sure what I've gained :-
What is a "master AP group ID and group key ", when it's at home?

Well it might have been, if Page 299 had been included - without it, that link is worthless
I assume it's support for some kind of centralised management function, in the future ... there's no sign of anything vaguely related, in the AP802 gui.

Ah - sorry about that. But it probably wouldn't have helped me even with the missing page

Curiously, this firmware (1.4.3) has still not been posted to the UK support web site ...
