Multiple access points and channel choices was created by philguk
I have an AP800 and two AP700s dotted around the house to avoid not-spots
They are all broadcasting the same SSID but should they all ideally be broadcasting on the same channel? Or on different channels??
Thanks
Phil G

Different channels, either by setting them all to Auto or manually arranging the channels to avoid interference.
I do the latter for my AP903s, utilising channels 1,6 and 11 for 2.4Ghz and 36, 40, 44 and 48 for 5Ghz. These are the channels that do not interfere with each other. Where I have more than 3 x 2.4Ghz units I ensure that those using the same channel are as far apart as possible.
Of course, other APs which you do not have control over (neighbours, etc) can affect things too.
It can be a bit more nuanced though, for example you can configure them to use multiple channels to increase bandwidth (I don't do this) and that might change the way you set things up.
