Just bought a 2927ac, need to provision it, the modem isn't showing up on any wifi network search so I can config the software. If I can connect it directly, should this be via the USB or network cable?

Firstly, the 2927ac isn't a modem.

You won't see it on wifi until you configure wifi - connect via a network cable to 192.168.1.1
