Wifi connection drops 5m away was created by sparkymarcopolo
I've just re-invested in a new 2762AC....I currently have an ASUS DSL-AC68 but it keeps locking up (I previously used Draytek). Unit is in same place.
Issue is the Wi-Fi, signal is strong next to the unit but move 5m away and the signal drops 30%....then another metre and the connection drops altogether, no matter which direction I go.
I've changed the 2.4 and 5 channels, enabled band steering and airtime fairness.
Any suggestions before it's returned.
Thanks

After discussion with tech support, unit is going back to Amazon.
Something so poor out of the box isn't worth the time and investment and I should have learnt from my previous Draytek experience

The Wifi section of the Router is probably just a bought-in module...
In "Wireless LAN(5GHz) >> Advanced Setting", you can alter the "TX" (transmit) Power.
Is that set to 100%? (ditto 2.4GHz)
