I am considering a mesh solution for a care home I do some work for but I dont know much about mesh networks. Can anyone tell me the range of one of the Ap903 devices and how it deals with building materials -i.e. walls etc -do these have an effect on the range -is this different , somehow to standard wireless?

The AP903 uses standard 802.11 protocols and signal limits are set by law so it copes with walls pretty much like any other device and as such it's impossible to predict coverage in a given scenario. I have one AP serving my whole house but it's made of wooden floors and mostly stud walls...
