Macbook Pro Wireless N Problems was created by gingerprince
Hi,

I've got a 2820n and I'm trying to access the wifi over wireless n (the main reason I bought this router!) and I can't seem to get it to work at all. I've tried pretty much all the channels and various combinations of b/g/n but I can't get it to connect at all - it always says connection timeout.

My ipod touch connects without any problems.

Is there something stupid I'm not doing or is it possible my airport has gone down? I don't have another network to test it on.

cheers
Matt

My Macbook Pro works fine with my 2820n, try taking your Macbook to McDonnalds or Starbucks

thanks, it's good to hear that it should work.

I'll take it to the apple store later and see what happens there.

cheers

Your iPod touch will only be connecting on 'g' not 'n' too.

Yes, I gathered that.

spoke to apple care and I've gone through their reset procedure. will try it when I get home tonight.

Thrain - do you have any special settings on the wireless lan section to make it work with your MBP?

Sorry, I should have added my MacBook Pro is also connecting via 'n' (144 Kbps) to my 2820n. I've not got anything specific set in my wireless settings, just:

Mixed 11g+11n
Tx Burst Enabled
WPA2/PSK Security
+MAC Address Filters

Both iPhone, MacPros and various other devices all connecting over 'n' and 'g' as necessary.
