MacOS VPN Does not Connect was created by tularis
Hello,
I have an issue with using the Draytek Smart VPN Client on MacOS.
When I press connect I get the error "Connection Error. Please Verify Server Address Settings or contact your administrator." and nothing else.
Sometimes when I press connect I get no error message and the "connect" button displays "Disconnect" and then goes back to "Connect" instantly..
I have no idea why the VPN will not connect.
I have tested the exact same account on a Windows Computer and it will connect.
How do I Debug this issue?
Router : Vigor2860n - FW: 3.9.1_BT
VPN : SSL
Client : MacOS BigSur 11.6.5 / Smart VPN 1.5.1 [573]
The SSL VPN is running on Port 4443 and the interesting thing is when I browse to https://<WANIP>:4443 it doesn't display anything.
However, the Windows Smart VPN client will connect on Port 4443 so I'm not sure if this is a red herring.
The lack of any error verbose on the MacOS is making this impossible to debug.

-- Update --
So I managed to fix the issue.
For the Mac to use The SSL VPN you need to have TLS 1.1 enabled.
The Mac does not support TLS 1.2 for some strange reason.
Must be an update or something.
The lack of any error log or verbose makes debugging these issues impossible..
