Last minute problems, so trying to get a Sonicwall SOHO fw SonicOS Enhanced 5.9.1.13-5o to Site-to-Site with a 2862 fw 3.9.3_BT
I have followed this guide: https://www.draytek.com/support/knowledge-base/5349
But can't get it to work.
Any pointers gratefully received.

The Draytek instructions assume the Vigor initiates the VPN, is that correct? (you mention the SonicWall first...).

It assumes both ends have a fixed IP address (because it specifies "MAIN" mode).

Does it connect and not work - or not connect?

In general, the Vigor will write all its error and informational message to SYSLOG - this ought to give you enough info to see where it's failing, if you can get access to it. (You can log to USB, access it via the GUI or send it to a real SYSLOG server. Nothing beats a PC, running Draytek's own SYSLOGRD software (which segregates all the messages onto their own tabs).

Common failure scenarios would be, incorrect Pre-shared Key, or the selection of encryption types or key-sizes that are not available at each end of the link. (and credentials, if using L2TP/IPsec)

Just picked the SW first to type about. In the instructions, the Draytek dials out the connection.
Yes both ends static IP. No, it does not connect.
(Up at 2:22am now trying to get it working
I will install syslog and see what is happening.
