Slow lan to lan was created by morethan
Hi, we have a 2862 in the Uk, 80down 20up, and a 2850 in Spain - we have a lan to lan vpn set up and it works fine - that is until we tick send all traffic (so that we can use uk geo restricted services) the speed in Spain then crawls at around 64kbps.
Why is this and can it be resolved? Is this a restriction of lan to lan tunnels?
We have dial in vpn users getting between 10 - 20mbps.
Anyone know where I can hire a professional to sort this out?

The Spanish connection is 300mbps down, will check the up but imagine it must be at least 20.

Should probably mention that Spain is a fibre router, so connecting the draytek to the fibre router on Wan 2 via Ethernet.

What type of VPN is it?
SSL is notoriously slow, but other types don't seem to impose too much of an overhead.
Don't forget that the overall speed of the link is limited to that of the slowest uplink.

Hi,
Its PPTP but i'm no expert on this, i can send screenshots, can't seem to paste them on this forum . Uk has 20mbps up (tested at 18.9) and Spain has 30mbps up (tested at 28.57). It seems odd that I can get 17mbps down as a dial in user but only 64kbs as a lan to lan vpn
