Static routes on remote router was created by johnnyalucard
Hi
I have setup a lan to lan vpn between an Amazon Clould and a Draytek 2830 which works fine routing between LAN1 and LAN4 on local machines but on remote machines (in the cloud) they can't seem to take advantage of a static route set up on the draytek.
The main LAN1 on the draytek is 10.0.0.0/24 and the static route is to 192.168.10.0/24 via a gateway on LAN4 at 172.16.1.1
I have created a static route in the cloud routing tables to point 192.168.10.0/24 to 10.0.0.138 which is the local (draytek) router.
Any ideas!?

The static route at the Amazon Cloud end, needs to point at the Amazon end of the tunnel, not the Vigor end.
I'm not familiar with Amazon Cloud services, so don't know the specifics of setting it up.

Just to add ...
In addition to the Static Route , is there a VPN setting at the Amazon-end that needs to be in place, so that it knows that 192.168.10.0/24 is at the other end of the tunnel? (For example, if the VPN was implemented by a Vigor, you'd add 192.168.10.0/24 to the "more" settings.)
