Stale VPN sessions not clearing was created by legal
We have a VPN client (Vista Business) where the vpn connection drops at times (it is passthrough to SBS ISA Server) but the problem we have been finding is that the 2820 is not then dropping the NAT session ie if you look on the NAT Sessions Table & refresh it, there are several of the same connections including the "dropped" ones still showing in the table.

Is there any way to make the 2820 drop such connections from its table when the connections have ended as we have only a restricted number of connections allowed at the VPN server?

Thanks

This can probably be changed by altering the "portmaptime" settings in telnet, "portmaptime -l" should show how long the timeouts for each type of traffic are setup currently.

Thanks - shows Timeouts as TCP 86400sec; UDP 180 sec; IGMP 10 sec; TCP WWW 60 sec; and TCP SYN 60 sec
By timeout, is that where there is no activity or where the connection has actually been closed/dropped by the client? If so. I take it that a PPTP connection is the TCP 86400 sec? which = 24 hours, so is that why when the connection at client crashes the NAt session remains?

PS - how do I change the individual settings?

thanks
