Hi,

We are having problems connecting VPNs to any Draytek router we use with Windows 7. All the VPNs we normally use work fine in Windows XP, they also worked fine in Windows 7RC but after upgrading to Windows 7 I'm having the exact same problem as the guys I work with. We just cannot get any VPNs to connect using Windows 7!

We've tried a Draytek 2600, 2800 and a 2820. We are trying to use PPTP, errors are usually error 800, and 619, 807 (after changing various settings).

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, did you ever get this fixed? I've got exactly the same issue.

Initial thoughts would be the Windows 7 Firewall which off the top of my head you have to access from Administration Tools -> Advanced Firewall to get the proper port based interface.

No, we have not got this fixed. Managed to get a VPN to connect if I turn off encryption (as a test). Does this work for you too? If this works hopefully we'll be able to fix it between us!

Are you setting the VPN type manually to PPTP or is it on Auto? I've noticed Win7 doesn't seem to connect to my draytek router when set to Autodetect.
