VPN Nat Traversal slow was created by s_vosper
Hi,

I have numerous branch offices connecting to my Vigo v3300 on IPSec VPN. Mostly 2910, 2600 and 2800.

All going great and the VPNs are solid.

I have recently added another branch office with a 2910VG 3.2.3.1

The VPN is connected and I have setup NAT Traversal option as it is sat behind a Nat Router that the ISP has installed. I can ping each other site and connect via vnc etc but when I try and connect to a website at my main office the connection takes a long time but does eventually connect.

So that is my main problem, this slowness is also stopping my DFS-R service working and it is not allowing my to access shares on my main office network. I did manage to temp fix the issue by disabling NAT-T that lasted 4 days and since then the VPN has stopped working and I have re-enabled NAT-T to get it working (but slow!).

I don't have this issue in 3 of my other branch offices that are sat behind ISP NAT boxes with NAT-T enabled.

any ideas would be great.

cheers

steve.
