v3300 VPN Issue was created by huw
We are currently having a few issues with the 3300 series, installed with the latest firmware (2.5.9.0). The general problems we are experiencing are VPN drop outs, DHCP issues, DNS issues.

Here is an example:

Site one has suffered from VPN drop outs, this can be up to 20 times a day. Some days it will run fine. On the odd occasion when the VPN drops the connection has to be manually initiated up to 3 times to get it up and running. A few times the VPN connection will not come back unless we give the 3300 at head office a reboot.

Site two suffers from intermittent VPN drop outs, and like Site one the VPN connection has to be manually initiated to get a connection. The strange problem we have is that the 3 PC’s we have at site two, two will connect to head office fine after the VPN is backup but one of the machine requires that the VPN is manually disconnect and then reconnected. This will work 100% of the time.

We don’t have any problems with site three and four; site three only has one user so traffic is minimal.

Example 2:

Site one and site two both suffer from the same problem. The VPN drops once every 2 days, and doesn’t automatically reconnect. You have to log on to the router and initiate the connection. The desktop machines at Site one and two won’t be able to connect still unless we remove their static IP address and set them to DHCP. If there already set to DHCP they have to be set a static IP address to connect through.

Site three works fine.
