2862/P2280 VLANs was created by oldfield-pete
Have a 2862 on 3.9.0, and P2280 on 2.4.0.
2862 has 2 VLANs:
VLAN0 Ports 1-4 Untagged LAN1 (192.168.8.x)
VLAN1 Ports 1-4 Tag 20 LAN2 (192.168.4.x)
I have an AP902 configured with 2 SSIDs:
SSID1 untagged LAN1
SSID2 tag 20 LAN2
this is wired to 2862 port 1 and works fine for DHCP assignment to wireless clients on SSID 1 & 2, assigning correct LAN IP from LAN1 or LAN2.
P2280 is connected to 2862 port 4. What I want to happen is for the P2280 to get a LAN IP from LAN2 DHCP (192.168.4.x), and for anything connected to any of the ports to also be on VLAN1 getting 192.168.4.x IP. I know this is possible via VLAN config, using trunk and access ports and PVID of 20.
For the life of me I cannot get the P2280 to do this in VLAN config! I tried to use central switch mgmt in the 2862 as that sounds a lot easier, but even though the 2862 sees the P2280, when I try and click Add New it says update firmware on P2280 (it is up to date).
Can anyone give me any pointers here?

hi oldfield-pete,
I have tried a similar setup on v2862 running latest 3.9.1 firmware. My P2280 is updated with 2.4.3 FW and they both work fine.

Hello,
I am having the exact same problem with the central management,
I am also struggling to get VLANS set up with the switch too, I thought it'd be easy
I just want to have 4 ports on VLAN 2 and the rest on VLAN 1 but I can't seem to figure it out....
