Vigor 3910 with multiple starlinks issue was created by PKalfin
hi to all
I am facing the following problem
Vigor 3910 router
- Wan1 5g Teltonika TRX500
- Wan3 Starlink V2 actuated / Bypass mode
- Wan4 Starlink V3 (kickstand no motors) / Bypass Mode
It seems that the 2 starlinks cannot be connected at the same time
I connect Starlink V3 on Wan3 and it connects. I connect and the V2 at Wan4. The V2 connects and after some seconds, V3 disconnects
I disconnect V2 from the router, V3 connects again !?!
Am I missing something? Anyone with dual/multiple starlinks on the same router to help?
regards,
Peter

Hi
PKalfin
Never used two at once, and of the same brand. Surely they are clashing their IP and subnet?
Check with only one connected, see what IP it gives, then check with the other one only attached...
Even if they're allowing static public IP's to pass-through, normally there is a common "reserved" local IP for admin on the device hosting the ISP's connection which could be the same "reserved" address on both devices, which could also cause a problem.
On 'Virgin' modems, in modem mode, they take the IP 192.168.100.1 for admin use, but still pass-through the public address(es). Two of these modems connected to one Vigor router could/will, most likely, cause a clash.
The router may be spotting this conflict and kicking one of the devices out of play.
Just a thought...

thank you for your reply
Starlinks are behind CGNAT
both starlink routers are in bypass mode, Vigor router gets the internet facing IP
V3 Starlink always get an IP 100.120.xxx.xxx
V2 Starlink always gets an IP like 100.65.xxx.xxx
with starlink routers in bypass mode, i have to think of a way to check their LAN facing ip's and if this is the issue
i will report back

Try using the gateway address to access their GUI, it'll be the gateway address in the WAN status display of your Vigor router.
This is how you can access the Virgin modem's GUI, by either the gateway address or the admin 192.168.100.1 address, both IPs allow access from inside the bubble.
