Can the configuration file of a 2926ac be applied to a 2927ax? Includes IP to MAC binding.
I tried to do this, got a system warning, are you sure? .cfg file was then copied.
Resulting in half of the attached network down.

So did you 'OK' when it asked you "are you sure?", it's not clear which you chose, or are you saying you chose "Cancel" and it still uploaded the config😟?

You think there would be some sort of conversion tool available from DrayTek, as this question comes up so regularly. Plus the fact that the 2927ax or 2927ac model is the recommended replacement for the 2926ac.

A tool would be great to have, where it shows you all config settings on the left pane and all possible settings to copy to on the right pane (new router model) and any that aren't compatible just get left for manual config within the tool! Now export and upload your config. (...in a perfect world 😄...)

HodgesanDY, yes, I did OK and the configuration file from the 2926ac updated the one from the 2927ax.
When using an IP scanner half of the original network was gone...will have to add those devices manually.
And yes, a tool would be very helpful indeed!
