A few firmware releases out today! (Well, via the router GUI anyway)

2927 models have 4.4.5.2 now available. The readme doesn’t list much of anything, but you never know what else might be fixed (or broken) with each release.

(I know this 2927 FW has been available for a while, but it was officially released today along with other models)

I just upgraded a 2862ac to 3.9.9.4, it seems to be working ok, for now.

I might give that a crack tomorrow and see how it performs. Is this the same version No as the Taiwanese one that replaced 4.4.5 a good few weeks back or a newer version?

Comparing the two zip files, they both have the same files inside, same naming convention, same size and same date, bar the time.

UK release FW files are dated 20th May 03:15:06
Taiwanese released FW files were dated 20th May 10:15:06

But seeing that Taiwan is 7 hours ahead, I’d say they’re identical!

Well folks, I upgraded just now, exactly the same issues; router goes non-responsive and reboots after any interrogation. The GUI showing the front panel depiction on the unit isn't accurate still with no LAN port status (10/100 or 1GBps connected devices), no WAN1 virtual LED showing connected. As soon as I logged back in to the unit and saw that indication I knew our problems had not gone away. Downgraded back to v4.4.3.1 and all is working fine again.

After battles with technical support, when in my opinion they were doing all they can to slope this off their shoulders, I was told it was a configuration issue with how I'd set it up. I decided therefore, and may have already mentioned this previously, that I flashed v4.4.5 in and used the .rst file to totally rebuild the unit from the ground upwards. I got about 2/3rds the way through it when the issues materialised again so clearly it's an issue with the firmware when another variable is introduced, potentially VPN or additional LAN based???

Interested to know the thoughts of others.
