AP902 Universal Repeater was created by philguk
About to move to a new house and it looks like I'll need to use wireless to bridge a hard-wire gap in the way the current inhome cabling has been done
I THINK the answer is "yes" (at least I hope so) - Can I use my AP902 in UNIVERSAL REPEATER mode to make a wifi connection back to my router AND create an extended wireless network AND connect some wired ethernet devices to it
In other words, will it act as a wireless RECEIVER and ACCESS POINT and SWITCH all at the same time??
Many thanks

Before I changed over to mesh mode I used to bridge two AP903's using the WDS facility, which worked fine. The remote AP acted as an AP and switch. In theory I understood that this could also be done using a Draytek router instead of one of the AP's, but I could never get it to work. I vaguely recall that it was something to do with not being able to use WPA2 encryption in that mode, although I could be wrong. But if you already have the devices why not give it a try and see if you can get it to work?
