Using POE to power a Draytek 2620LN

I have a Draytek 2620LN running in LTE bridged mode connected to a Draytek 2682 which acts as the router for my local home network.
I would like to use POE down the Ethernet cable joining to 2682 to 2620LN by using an injector and splitter to obtain the 12v required to power 2620LN.
Is this OK, I see no reason why not, but sensible to ask others before damaging the equipment.

It should work as long as you have the correct diameter pin and output on your injector.

Oh, what a good idea! Hadn't thought of this.

Whilst my installation is not the same, I have a poe switch, with the right splitter it should work just fine if yours works

Please let me know how you get on and I would also appreciate knowing where you got your splitter from so I can get one.

Thanks in advance

I use one each of these for a number of routers.

The right-angle plug isn't for the right-angle but ensures the power plug fits the router. (The plug on the splitter is not quite the right size for the Drayteks).

Note, this splitter at 2A is underpowered for the 2865Lac which needs 2.5A but works with many others I've tried it with.

Cool thank you.
I use 2862's, so I will check it their power requirements 👍👍👍
