Can anyone assist?
Just bought a 2866ax to upgrade a 2860ac....but it won't connect!
Vodafone FTTC, adn a separate WAN2 to a 4G modem - both worked fine with the 2860. Changed cables over to the 2866ax - running FW 4.4.1BT & modem code 1232305 A - and although a pc can log into control panel over Cat 5, nothing I do will bring up an internet connection.
Yet, switch back to the 2860 & works again no problem!
Could it be a DoA unit, or is there something basic I'm not thinking about in the settings?

You don't say what your settings are so it's hard to say...

Thanks yes, that link confirms the settings I have which are the same as on the 2860. When you ask what settings I have, are there any in particular?, as there are so many pages of settings on the 2866 its not really practicable to try to relate them all !

What do you mean by 'it won't connect'? There are different stages to establishing a successful sync (handshaking, training, showtime) and without knowing further details, we won't be able to help you.

So:

- do you get a sync with DSLAM?
- do you get any error messages like PPPoE error or something similar?
- did you check the settings, including the username and password?
- MTU correct?
- VPI/VCI correct?

etc. etc.

Best if you also post screenshots with errors that you're getting.

There aren't many settings for the vdsl connection - just the WAN setup in General Setup and the Internet Access page.

What do you see on the Online Status page?

But still there are some. Anyway, I'm sure the OP will post an overview of their settings if they still need help.
