Random one - Client has upgraded to FTTP, and their 2862 got replaced with the 2927.

Now, when they go to play something downloaded on the Sky Q secondary box - It kills the internet internally.

Also - Had a Draytek 130 running the FTTC fail over. When the internet locked out, WAN2 would show as being offline and a line fault (where there isn't as soon as the router was rebooted, WAN2 would come back online).

The router is still online, but, virtually zero traffic LAN to WAN - like - bytes only.

I can get on the GUI from the web, and reboot the router - All comes back to normal.

If you download and play from the main box - No problems.

Any ideas anyone??

Make sure that [Applications] > [IGMP] > IGMP Relay is turned on for the Sky WAN interface.
Try turning on / off IGMP snooping, what you're describing sounds like an IGMP flood, or an interface locked out to stop that with IGMP snooping.

Also turn off UDP Flood Defense under [Firewall] > [Defense Setup] > DoS Defense, if you have that enabled, it could also cause what you're describing.

There's nothing "IMGP Relay" only IGMP proxy?
I've turned on the IGMP snooping. (was off / the default before).

UDP Flood defence is off already.

Oddly - This never happened with the 2862 - only since I put in the 2927.

Is this a WiFi problem?

By default, the Sky Q box hooks-up via WiFi and also acts as WiFi access point for the mini-boxes. It is non-too fussy as to what it clashes with - it occupies an 80MHz wide channel (36) by default. (Even if not in use, this AP is present, and requires a delve into a hidden menu to disable it). AIUI, the mini-boxes can run in wired-mode, but I'm not sure if they'll connect using any other WiFi.


Can a wired client on the 2927, continue to access the Internet? (what happens to Ping / Tracert /NSlookup / HTTP etc)

Contact support and see if you can get the 4.4.0 release candidate firmware, that should help

Nope - Everything drops. Wired and wireless.
Except I can still get to the router externally via 4G etc from my phone - Which I then login to the GUI and reboot the router.

Then everything works again.

Complete and utter pain in the backside.

The Sky boxes are on a wired connection as they are too far apart (and the walls are stone).

And it's pretty much only the "Silver" boxes that are the cause of the crash.
