Copying AP profile to new router was created by pbripley
Is it possible to export an AP profile from a router and import it into a second router?
Namely from a 2862 to a 2962 if that matters at all.

Yes, that matters a lot!
Routers can import a Configuration Backup from an earlier model in the range, but it's normally quite limited. For example, the 2860 can read the config. backups of the 2850,2830 & 2820. I don't know what the official list is for the 2962 (and the emulator @

Perhaps a 2962 owner can help you, otherwise it's a question for
Draytek
.
Routers can also export the config. for individual functions (such as the Bind IP to MAC list, or the Firewall Rules). Some of these may be compatible across Routers (and some of them are human-readable, which gives scope for a 'manual' conversion)

Yes I did mean just the WLAN profiles.
But your answer did help, copying the whole config would work just fine if it included the WLAN profile within it.
Good call.

The Vigor 2962 can't load a config from the Vigor 28xx series currently - the config import feature is specifically intended for upgrading from one similar model to another. Such as the Vigor 2860 > Vigor 2865.
There isn't an export facility for the AP profile as a modular part of the config right now, you'd need to request that. See here for more info:https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-configuration-backup-modules
It might be worth contacting support to see if there are any other options. The quick way, though not the best, would be to just screenshot & reconfigure
