Vigor 2862ac & Virgin Gig1 Fibre was created by konnexion
Anyone using this combination ?
I was using the 2862 successfully with the Virgin M350 service, Virgin hub in modem mode connected to WAN2 on the Vigor - getting expected download/upload of 350/50.
I've now upgraded to Virgin Gig1 Fibre, again Virgin hub in modem mode connected to WAN2 on the Vigor - now getting download/upload of 240/50.
Connecting my PC directly to the Virgin Superhub 4 yields expected results around 980/50 which confirms the service is working.
Why the drop in performance - is the 2862 not up to the task even though WAN2 is rated as a gigabit port ?

Its WAN's throughput is 400Mb/s. That's why.

The limiting factor is the Firewall performance , according to the specs @

It's intriguing that the throughput has fallen though...

Probably because of packet drops and retransmissions.

I tested with firewall disabled - WAN2 is listed as 1GB so I would have expected at least something better than the M350 service it replaced

That's precisely what is confusing me, never expected that
