Hi Guys,

I have an issue with a 2927 Router connected to a leased line (just installed), where we can ping external sources such as 8.8.8.8, bbc.co.uk etc. However no connected clients wired, or wireless can connect/ping anything other than locally.

There are no VLANS setup, and the router is mostly in a default state.

I can connect remotely to the router with no issues, however trying a "use remote Gateway" VPN to emulate the issue remotely will not pass out to the web, just the same as the local clients.

**UPDATE** I have tried this on a second Router Draytek BX2000 that I had lying around, and get exactly the same issue.
Not sure if it's my settings to the ISP, or the ISP, but I can ping external sites from the router/s directly.

Any help would be great.

Cheers,

Chris

Can you ping the clients from the router ?
Can you ping the routers lan address from the clients ?
If you look at clients ipconfig settings are the ip address and gateway addresses ok and is the gateway address the routers lan address ?

Yes, Pinging locally from client to router, or client to client is fine.
Ipconfig details are showing the correct gateway to the Router which is running DHCP.

I can ping the clients from the router also, including external address's, and googles DNS 8.8.8.8 all ok.
It's just the LAN clients that cannot get out.

If from a client, you do a tracert 8.8.8.8, how far does it hop ?
Are you using IPv6 in your network ?

Hop hits the router then fails beyond that.

** RESOLVED **
ISP had sent the wrong Subnet details, changed this in the WAN settings and it came to life.
