Your router could possibly be the cause but looking at your line stats you clearly have a noise problem that is causing G.INP (Interleaving) to reduce your throughput.
I would leave everything alone for a few weeks and collect stats if you get another slow down.
On the second set of stats you'll see "ReTx Enable" that is G.INP AKA impulse noise reduction, that slows the line and reduces errors.
You are connected to a Huawei FTTC cabinet so will need to use the Official BT approved firmware , don't try the alternative firmware it will make things a lot worse.

Thank you - that's very helpful. I'll post another screengrab next time.
n the meantime, is there anything I can do about the noise problem?

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

That depends on the source of the noise, it might be something in your home or it could be a problem between your home and the cabinet.
You could set up a TBB Quality monitor , that can sometimes be of use.

My internet has slowed to a crawl again.
Before I reboot my Vigor 130, I grabbed stats again. Does this give any clue as to what's happening?

Very few errors, you still have G.INP/Interleaving reducing speed.
Can we see the first set of stats [ vdsl status] ?
What about ping times when things get slow?
Another thought, is the modems case getting hot?
