V3910 - No IGMP snooping was created by therealbraderz
Hi,
Over the past 6 years I have used several Draytek routers in the product range and all of them had the option of IGMP snooping. The option appeared as part of the IGMP application page (IGMP proxy).
However in V3910 only proxy is available; no option for snooping. I can also confirm that no snooping is taking place as multicast received from WAN is being broadcast across all LAN ports. This is affecting the performance of some LAN to LAN SMB file transfers.
I am running latest firmware. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Cheers,
Bradley

Just to add more detail to this:
I didn't think to check whether snooping could be enabled via telnet.
The 3910 does indeed accept the command to enable snooping, and confirms that it is enabled afterwards. However, it has no effect on the IGMP traffic.

Pretty sure I got it working on mine without it I couldn't watch BT sport 4k . Had to do all via the command line though including disabling version 3 but saying that I'm only using one lan.
You 100% sure you haven't any mulitcast devices on the other lans?

I can watch multicast no problem, but no matter what commands I use the traffic is forwarded on all LAN ports. This can be seen on the activity lights for unmanaged switches which have no multicast devices connected to them.
The proxy works but not snooping.
