Can I do this? was created by f1aw1ess
Have BT with their wholehome mesh system installed at the moment, all works fine.
Problem is sometimes the kids download stuff and there is no way of limiting their speed so it slows down everyone else, id like to use the draytek 2862n to limit speeds of particular devices on the network which I think it can do?
The problem is, the BT mesh system only works with the homehub installed so im hoping i can connect my VDSL line to the draytek and then pass an ethernet cable to the BT router and turn off DHCP so i can manage the network through the Draytek but use the BT wifi if that makes sense, will this work and does anyone know if i might encounter any problems?
Thanks

Sounds eminently do-able to me...and since you have all the bits, easy enough to try! (Obviously, connect the routers LAN port <--> LAN port, don't double-NAT)
