2926 syslog date wrong was created by nieldm
Has anyone experienced the syslog showing a different date to the system date? Mine right now is showing this:
2000-01-01 00:00:08 Local User (MAC=CC-9E-A2-54-76-BF): 192.168.1.34:45176 -> 52.216.141.172:80 (TCP)Web
...whereas the dashboard shows the correct date.
Current Time Tue Nov 03 2020 08:51:40
I am on the latest firmware, 3.9.4.1

That will happen after the router restarts because it's not got an internal real-time clock. Initially it will show 2000-01-01 going from 00:00:00. It connects to the Internet to get the correct date & time, at which point syslog will go to the correct time.
That indicates your router may have been power cycled or restarted - check "
sys ver dbg
".
