Hi guys,
DIscovered a strange issue whilst trying to troubleshoot a Sonos Beam issue.
Essentially - when I turn on one of the Windows 10 laptops, the mac address of the wifi network card in laptop (Dell M4800) gets "assigned" onto the SOnos Beam - resulting in two different IP addresses - one for the beam and one for the laptop in the Diagnostics -> ARP Table.
When this happens the beam no longer responds to the controller etc . Switch the laptop off, clear/ refresh the ARP table and everything is back to how it should be.
I have checked that Internet Connection Sharing is not enabled on the laptop.
Overall it is a simply wifi setup - router Vigor 2860n NAS, Philip's Hue and Sonos Boost hardwired and then everything else picks up via DHCP.
I have tried with the IP's bound to mac address etc - Only the Beam, then only the laptop and both assigned. They get the correct IP but the mac address is "overwritten" on the beam when the laptop is on.
The engineers at Sonos were baffled....as am I .
Many thanks in advance.
