2960 http and https services stop working intermittently was created by calibre74
We keep having an issue with a couple of 2960s in that the http and https services stop working at random times and the only way to bring them back is to reboot using telnet or power cycle. We have tried several firmware versions but it is still happening. Currently running on 1.5.1beta. Any idea on how to restart http services without rebooting?

I found the answer to restart the http service using telnet without needing to reboot:
enable
configure system
restart http
enable
configure system
restart http

Wonder why they are doing it though. The 2960 has been fairly reliable after about 6 months of updates. When it first came it out it was basically an expensive door stop. Totally useable.
The best one was when load balancing stopped working and the way you configured it changed between updates. So the techie is telling me off for doing it wrong. Until I pointed him to page xx of the manual. Of course they hadn't thought of putting an updated manual online.
