Vigor 2926 - Wan 2 Fallover issues was created by dlogan83
Hi All,
I have a Vigor 2926 that works fine using wan1 and we have BT Cloud Voice sharing our switch on a 2nd Vlan, pointing to the gateway of the BT router.
BT have now upgraded the line so I would like to explore the options to use BT as a Fallover or Loadbalance, however when I connect the WAN 2 port to a port on the back of the BT Hub, my switch disables the port on our switch that the router uses no4.
Bt is 192.168.1.1, Gatweay 192.168.1.254
Draytek has been set to 192.168.1.244 gateway.
I set WAN 2 to connect to IP and automatic. Not sure if I should use bridge mode.
Any ideas why it would be killing the port of my switch? and whats the best was to go about setting up the fallover with a BT hub.

Is the hub a BT Business hub or domestic?

Check 'WAN Connection Detection' under internet settings for WAN2.
If you set this to always on, as a test what happens
You may also have to play with this setting, ping detect maybe the best option.

Isn't one of the ports switchable LAN/WAN.. so you just need to use another port for LAN ?

On the 2926 the WAN2 port becomes a LAN port if you set the Internet Access mode on WAN2 to Wireless.
