AIUI,
Unless you specify a particular set of DNS servers in the LAN DHCP setup, the Vigor will supply its own IP address as the DNS server (rather than those picked up from the ISP). (Assuming the Vigor is being used for DHCP)
'IPconfig /all' will shows you the DNS server(s) in use (unless they're hard -coded-for some reason)...
... and typing 'nslookup' at a command prompt will take you to the first one in use, where you can perform a query.
In my case, it's not the Vigor...

Code:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>nslookup
Default Server: dc1.home.p---------e.co.uk
Address: 192.168.100.252
> set type=all
> news.bbc.co.uk.
Server: dc1.home.p----------e.co.uk
Address: 192.168.100.252
Non-authoritative answer:
news.bbc.co.uk canonical name = newswww.bbc.net.uk
newswww.bbc.net.uk internet address = 212.58.244.56
newswww.bbc.net.uk internet address = 212.58.249.144
> exit
C:\WINDOWS\system32>
