2862 on latest firmware 3.9.0 - web gui timeout issues was created by geroi
Hi,
I'm getting very strange web gui timeout issues on two routers 2862 on latest firmware 3.9.0
When I log in via LAN (local or via L2L VPN) or WAN IPs (using whitelisted IPs) - I'm being kicked out as fast as 5 seconds.
Has anyone noticed this at all ?

Not sure if it is related, but I have been kicked out several times today despite having 'off' set for auto logoff. Timing seems random .. it has held up for an hour or more now, whereas previously it kicked me out after a minute or two. Never quite as short as 5 seconds though. It's a new router so I don't know if it came with the new firmware or not.

Hi everyone,
I have the same issue. I bought a 2862VAC about 3 weeks ago and have immediately updated to the newest firmware (3.9.0). I've tried rebooting or switching the router off completely but nothing helps. Anyone got any idea? This only happened recently. Initially I didn't seem to have this problem, so I am a bit lost as I can't remember having done anything specifically that would cause this. I tried logging in from within the lan or from outside, but I am still experiencing the same issue.

I'm blaming the fact that I've updated firmware via Lan2Lan VPN. I have two 2862 routers liek that with timeout issue.
Then I have another two 2862 routers which I've updated via LAN or via WAN and these are OK.
I've ordered another 2862 and I will update it via LAN and see if this helps.

Hi,
Ive seen the same issue on several 2952 routers. I manage a range of sites that are all using Dryatek 2952 routers and all see this odd logout issue but at random intervals. Only solution I found was to go back to 3.8.9.2.

I my case I've asked my work colleague who deals with numerous Draytek devices and his solution worked.
I've changed default port for HTTP from 80 to another one.
Then enabled redirection from HTTP to HTTPS.
So I'm only using HTTPS port now for WebGui - this has cured the random timeout issue.
Then I have enabled logging on Firewall Defense setup and observed the IPs which are being flagged as DoSing the router - there were loads of internal and external IPs.
I've tweaked the thresholds and whitelist for DoS and so far its looking OK.
Hope this helps anyone.
