Vigor 2820Vn dead? was created by asimov
Hi,
Today, my Vigor 2820Vn stopped working when I was trying to activate the Wifi. All led are lit except the center one, DSL. I tried to reset the router (5s while on) without success. I also tried to enter TFTP mode (pushing Reset button while turning it on) without success. What means that ring of LEDs? Is my router dead?
Thank you!

I think it can be >5 seconds but if you're doing both of those correctly, and still no joy, it might indeed be dead... Sad and strange after so long (it must be about 200 years old). Give it another try tomorrow.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, indeed, I have it for a long time! I'm sad that this morning I still get the ring of death
I'm quite upset because the VoIP jack stopped working a couple of months ago (never knew why), so I had to buy a SPA. Now I have to change everything.
What is the equivalent Draytek for this 200 years old router?
I will bury it in the courtyard...

We changed our very old 2820 for a 2860.
You can load your saved 2820 settings into the 2860. The configuration backup page on the 2860, confirms this that you can load 2820 settings file.
We did it one lunch time, no issues, including all out VOIP stuff working correctly.
