On the system management page:
IP v4
Internet access control, ensure that HTTPS server is unticked
Management Port Setup, select User Defined Ports, HTTPS port is something other than 433
IP v6
Allow management from the internet is unticked
LAN Access setup
Tick required options (default is all, apart from enforce HTTPS access)
Apply to all subnets, DMZ and IP routed subnet

In addition the router will not open port 443 and point it to my server, on clicking ok to apply the settings i'm directed to the "System Maintenance > Management" page where theres nothing to do

Thank you to all that have replied.
Only one thing i hadn't tried was unticking everything under IP v6, tried all under IP4, 6 and LAN together as suggested here and i still get the problem.
A factory reset is a good idea, not thought of this one, then set up port 443 first perhaps, something to try after the weekend.

Just need to get the file from the latest firmware archive then it takes a couple of seconds to flash it ;)

Would it not be better to try downgrading to v3.8.8.8 to rule out a firmware gremlin, bearing in the various reports of issues with the latest versions, before doing a factory reset? It's safe to downgrade, you won't wipe out your settings and it may potentially solve your problem! You could then reflash and reset if that doesn't work for you.
