2280 Mac Based Vlan & Voice VLAN was created by h21
Hi All,
Im having issues configuring the Voice VLAN on my G and P2280 switches.
Havent found much documentation online.
Basically i need to create a Voice VLAN that automatically assigns phones onto vlan 20.
I have enabled voice vlan, added the OUI of the grandstream phones. Then i enabled the voice vlan on a specific port, but the phone is still appearing on vlan 10 (untagged)
Looking at the Mac based VLAN tab, there is a field for Mask (9-40) what goes in there? I dont understand how it can be an IP Mask, as its VLAN tagging, and is unrelated to subnets.
Best

The manual here has details on Voice VLAN, it's a prioritisation feature:
It looks like it's not on the UK site just yet but you can get the manual here:http://www.draytek.com/ftp/VigorSwitch%20P2280/Manual/
If you want the phones to go into a specific VLAN, you need to use the MAC-based VLAN, the mask value is the number of bits to match of a MAC address. The OUI / vendor part of the MAC address is 24 bits (first half) so 24 should work if all of your Grandstream phones have the same OUI
