2860 and multiple static IPs was created by johnsmall
I'm sure this question has been asked many times before but I can't find it in the forum history, so I'll ask again
I had a 2850 configured to use a block of 5 static ips from BT, it was working fine for years. Then it got zapped by a power surge due to a lightning strike. Luckily it was only the VDSL input circuit that go taken out, the unit itself was powered via a UPS.
So I had to buy a new router, this time a 2860ac. As I could still connect to the old 2850 by ethernet I could copy as many of the settings as possible into the new 2860. It connects to the internet, but I've never been able to access the 5 static IPs and I can't get external VPN to dial in either.
What do I have to do so I can use my block of 5 static IPs on a Vigor 2850?

On the 2850 config, it is : -
1) WAN >> Internet Access
2) Click "Details Page" for the WAN.
3) Find "WAN IP Alias" and list them there.
I tend to assign some of them to DMZ hosts, and then some of them to the NAT pool.
I guess it might be different on the 2860 but I hope that helps in some way.

Ok, thanks. I'd set up the 2850 so many years ago that I'd forgotten that the 'WAN Alias' button led to a page where I could add the extra IP addresses. Now my 2860 is working as it should do.
