2860np SNR Margin and attainable rate decreases slowly was created by oakserver
Hi,
Upon rebooting my 2860 I have 74999 downstream sync (capped I believe) with attainable rate 79449 and a 7db SNR margin. Nice
However, over the course of about 3 to 4 days this attainable rate gradually declines to around 73000 - actually lower than the the sync speed which I find quite strange. No error on the downstream.
At that time the SNR is about 5db.
A reboot and SNR returns to 7db and I have an attainable rate of 79449 again.
I don't really understand why it creeps down like this, I've now scheduled a reboot every other day to bring the SNR back up.
Is anybody else experiencing this or is this a feature of the product or firmware.
I am on firmware 3.8.4.5_BT

just for info I have since found that the Vector 4 firmware is able to reach and maintain a constantly a higher attainable rate than the BT firmware version has ever done.
I am seeing a few extra CRC errors (thus causing ES errors) on the upstream though - but luckily not excessive enough for DLM to act on the line.
I'm just waiting for DLM to lift the 74999 cap as I used to get around 76-77.
