Internet routing via VPN was created by quantiq
Hello, we have a 3900 firewall which we are setting up for VPN access.
We have a problem where if someone connects to our VPN their internet is also routed via the VPN firewall.
Example.
We have a test line of 5Mbps for our VPN.
I'm at home with a 65Mbps connection.
Running an internet speedtest while NOT connected to the VPN I show speeds of 65Mpbs as expected.
If I run a speedtest while connected to the VPN I get 5Mbps (The speed of the VPN line).
Also downloading from the web slows down to the VPN line speed.
Our existing firewall/VPN device does not do this, you still use your normal local internet speeds. Is there a setting I need to enable/disable to correct this behaviour?
Thanks
Nick

Sounds like you have your VPN settings (client side) set to 'use default gateway on remote network', thus all traffic is routed over the VPN rather just that is the VPN subnet(s).
